Being industry professionals, we implement all new safety equipment and procedures to ensure your ultimate security with us. All of our equipment is regularly serviced, replaced and maintained.
Parasailing is not at all a dangerous activity when in the right hands, and at Gold Coast Parasail we can guarantee a safe, comfortable and of course enjoyable experience.
Upon arrival, all guests will watch our safety induction video, going through the whole activity from start to finish. This eases nerves, creates seamless tours and ensures all guests are in a controlled and safe environment. You can check it out yourself right here!
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I get wet?
Getting wet is completely optional! Your take-off and landing will be on the back of the boat without touching the water so we can keep you completely dry. We do offer water touches! Let the team know and we can lower you into the water for a toe touch or full dunk, the choice is yours.
What can I take on the boat?
We do not have any storage for loose items on the boat so it is not advised to bring anything that you do not want to carry the entire time. Phones and GoPros are welcome, these are just at your own risk of any damages or losses. Bulky items cannot be brought on the boat. Any personal items can be left behind in free storage available at our office.
What if there is bad weather?
It’s important to us that you enjoy your parasail experience to its maximum potential and return with your family and friends in the future. Your safety and comfort is paramount, for this reason all of our parasail crew pay particular attention to any impending weather events. On the Gold Coast we have some unpredictable tropical weather at times consisting of wind, rain and or lightning. Parasailing will not be conducted in these conditions and operation will be determined by the parasail skipper. Any bookings cancelled on our behalf are fully refundable.
Height and age?
Height isn’t so important but overall size. Kids must be at least 7 years old and weigh a minimum 25kgs to fit our smallest harnesses. Any children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult on the boat either by parasailing or observing. Observer tickets can be purchased at checkin for $50pp. As for maximum age… there is none! Parasailing is a low impact, user friendly experience for all ages.
How high do you fly?
Our rope is 120m (400ft) long! You will find yourself at around 80 meters or 23 stories above the water.
What if I am afraid of heights?
For folks afraid of heights we tend to get mixed responses. Parasailing is a surprisingly relaxing experience when up in the air. It is quiet and calm, therefore we find those with fears of heights tend to relax and really enjoy it up there. We also have a signal you can give us at any point during your flight if you would like to come back to the boat. This is explained in our safety induction prior to your session. Overall we would say that it is a great way to test your limits and you will most likely be pleasantly surprised! Who knows maybe you will be booking a skydive straight after.
What should I wear?
If you decide to stay dry you can wear whatever you are comfortable in. Our harnesses are not too restrictive with a seat similar to a swing and loose straps around your thighs. Shorts or pants would be most suitable but loose dresses or skirts with shorts under are fine also. If you would like to go for a water touch we would recommend wearing either swimmers or clothing you don’t mind getting wet. You can wear enclosed shoes or go barefoot.
When is it best to book during my holiday?
Due to being weather dependant, we would advise booking parasailing for the beginning of your holiday so there is more time to reschedule to a nicer day if need be. We monitor weather forecasts and may reach out if your selected date is not looking the best.

Marina Mirage has plenty of free parking available! You can drive, catch an uber or bus right to our doorstep. Bus lines are #705 from Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach or #704 from Southport. Alternatively, or hop off the tram at the Main Beach stop and take a 30 minute stroll along the water to reach us.
With cafes, restaurants, beaches, yachts and more, there is plenty here to see and do!
